Pretty Cure(2004)

Pretty Cure is a magical girl anime series that begins when two mismatched schoolgirls—athletic Nagisa and studious Honoka—are chosen by mysterious beings from the conquered Garden of Light. Mepple and Mipple, refugees fleeing the encroaching Darkness, grant Nagisa and Honoka extraordinary powers and transform them into Cure Black and Cure White, legendary warriors destined to protect their world. Despite their opposing personalities, the pair must learn to work together as Pretty Cure to battle the forces threatening their home. The series blends action, humor, and heart as these unlikely heroes discover that their differences become their greatest strength in the fight against darkness.
