Rangbaaz(2018)

Rangbaaz is a crime series following Shiv Prakash Shukla, a 25-year-old from Gorakhpur who rises to become Uttar Pradesh's most feared gangster during the 1990s. Operating as a hired gun for corrupt politicians, Shukla orchestrates brutal organised crimes across the state, drawing the attention of authorities who view him as an existential threat. Desperate to eliminate him, the state government forms a special task force dedicated to tracking his movements and engineering his death in a staged police encounter. The series traces Shukla's rapid ascent through the criminal underworld and the cat-and-mouse game between a ruthless operator and a state machinery determined to silence him, capturing a volatile era of gangsterism and political corruption in northern India.
