Rin-ne follows Sakura Mamiya, a high school student cursed with the ability to see ghosts ever since she mysteriously vanished and returned from the woods as a child. Now she just wants to live a normal life, but spirits constantly seek her out. When a perpetually absent classmate finally appears at school, Sakura discovers he's no ordinary student—he's a shinigami, a death god tasked with guiding restless spirits to the afterlife. Together they form an unlikely partnership, helping troubled ghosts find peace while navigating the supernatural forces that lurk beneath their everyday school life. This supernatural comedy-drama blends humor, mystery, and heart as Sakura and her classmate encounter increasingly bizarre and touching cases involving the dead.
