Ruya(2018)

Ruya is a Turkish drama series following Elif, a young woman with artistic ambitions who falls in love with Bulut, a wealthy textile businessman. Their romance faces significant obstacles, particularly from Elif's family, who disapprove of their relationship due to their different social standings. As the couple navigates financial pressures and family resistance, their connection is tested by mounting complications. The series explores themes of love across class divides, personal ambition, and the tension between individual desire and family duty. With direction by Cemal San and writing from the Kaktus Yazi Grubu, Ruya examines whether passion can overcome the barriers that threaten to keep these two apart.
