Split is a Russian historical series set during the seventeenth-century schism of the Orthodox Church. The drama follows Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich and his son Fyodor Alekseevich as they navigate one of Russia's most turbulent periods, shaped by Patriarch Nikon's sweeping church reforms. Against these changes stand fierce opponents, including the fiery Archpriest Avvakum and the influential Morozov family, particularly the resolute boyar Feodosia Morozova.
