Tobol(2020)

Tobol is a historical drama following Ivan Demarin, a young officer in Peter the Great's newly formed guard, as he's dispatched to the remote Siberian frontier town of Tobolsk. Tasked with maintaining order in this lawless outpost, Ivan discovers himself caught between warring factions: local princes scheming to seize the legendary gold of Yarkand, and his own regiment's loyalty fracturing under pressure. Outside the fortress walls, nomadic Jungars mass for attack, cutting off any hope of reinforcement.
