Be Natural(2023)

Be Natural is a film shot entirely on an LED volume stage using virtual production technology, inspired by Taiwanese artist SUN Pei-mao's paintings. A mother eagerly anticipates a photograph with her son at an aquarium, but he feels reluctant and uncomfortable with the moment. The film explores the quiet tension between a parent's desire for connection and a child's emotional distance, rendered through innovative digital cinematography that blurs the line between reality and painted artifice. What begins as a simple outing becomes an intimate portrait of unspoken feelings and the gap between expectation and acceptance.
