Memorial Day is a slasher film that reunites Rachel and her friends at the lakeside location where her brother was mysteriously killed three years earlier. Hoping to finally move past the trauma and accept his death as an accident, the group arrives for a Memorial Day getaway. But they're not alone. A masked killer waits in the woods, armed with a hatchet and a thirst for revenge. As night falls and the body count climbs, Rachel must uncover the killer's identity—a stranger, or someone from her past. The film builds tension through the classic slasher formula: isolated setting, mounting dread, and the relentless pursuit of a faceless threat. Rachel's desperate search for answers becomes a race against time as the killer systematically hunts down each member of the group, forcing her to confront both the mystery of her brother's death and the horror unfolding around her.
