The Falcon(1983)

The Falcon is a medieval Serbian adventure film set during a time of conflict between local lords and Turkish raiders. When the Turkish bandit Alija attacks his castle and kidnaps his beloved Andja, the estate owner Banović Strahinja discovers his servants slain and his world upended. Rather than accept defeat, Strahinja assembles a ragtag group of scoundrels and sets out in pursuit of the kidnappers. The film follows his desperate chase across hostile terrain as he fights to reclaim what was taken from him. Blending action with the brutal politics of the era, The Falcon captures a pivotal moment in Serbian history through the eyes of a man driven by love and vengeance.
