Titus(2013)

Titus follows a virtuoso African-American jazz musician whose damaged soul has reduced him to a nobody, living in exile in London. Estranged from his vintage alto sax and the woman he loves, he's wasting away with little hope of redemption. Everything changes when Jessica arrives—the daughter he abandoned as a baby. Her unexpected visit forces him to confront the wreckage of his past and the choices that led him to this lonely point. The film explores themes of redemption, family, and the redemptive power of music, charting whether a broken man can find his way back to himself through reconnection with those he's hurt.
