The Liars(1996)

The Liars is a French film that follows the mysterious disappearance of celebrated filmmaker Zac, who abandons his glamorous Parisian life and his lover Hélène to become a homeless drifter. After eight months of searching, his producer Marcus tracks him down and hires Daisy, an ambitious secretary and aspiring screenwriter, to uncover what drove Zac to vanish. Their investigation unfolds through a series of inventive, creatively filmed vignettes as Zac gradually reveals the truth behind his retreat. As they begin adapting his story into a screenplay, Daisy and Zac develop an unexpected romance. Meanwhile, Marcus faces mounting pressure from Russian mobsters demanding repayment of their investment.
