Personal Affairs is a Serbian film that traces five months in the life of Maja Sabljic, a young actress-in-training navigating her transition from high school to adulthood. Beginning on her graduation day in late May, the narrative follows her journey through the summer until September, when she attempts to enroll at the Film Academy. Shot in documentary style, the film captures the authentic Belgrade scene of the late 1970s through real-life figures and locations from that era.
