Rebellion of Japan follows Suzuko, a woman whose life becomes entangled with two men across a turbulent era. After years as the lover of Tate, a young Army lieutenant, she transforms into a right-wing fundamentalist revolutionary, shaped partly by her brother's persecution during communist purges. When her family arranges her marriage to a Noh theatre devotee, Suzuko finds herself torn between duty and her unbreakable connection to Tate. The film explores how political upheaval and personal passion collide in prewar Japan, trapping a woman between competing loyalties and ideologies. Her journey reveals the human cost of extremism and the impossible choices demanded by history.
