Slow Video(2014)

Slow Video follows Jang-bu, a man cursed with the ability to perceive all movement in extreme slow motion. Bullied as a child for his "monster eyes," he withdrew from the world and found solace only in television. Now an adult working at a CCTV control center—a job perfectly suited to his peculiar gift—Jang-bu observes the ordinary lives of strangers through security cameras, feeling a strange kinship with their routines. As he begins forging genuine friendships outside work, his perspective shifts. The connections he builds give him newfound confidence and purpose. Jang-bu finally musters the courage to propose to a woman he's long admired, someone he's only ever watched through the surveillance screens. The film explores isolation, acceptance, and the unexpected ways human connection can transform us.
