La Sorcière Blanche(2007)

La Sorcière Blanche is a documentary film exploring the Horseshoe Cirque, a remote ice climbing destination so technically demanding that climbers waited two decades after its first ascent in 1976 before attempting it again. Each pioneer who succeeded emerged transformed by the ordeal. In January 2006, filmmakers Philippe Batoux, François Damilano and Benoît Robert documented the opening of The White Witch route, capturing the site's dramatic landscape of frozen waterfalls and treacherous rock faces. Through interviews with climbers who've tackled this emblematic challenge, the film presents an intimate portrait of human determination against one of nature's most formidable obstacles.
