Madame Bovary, That's Me(1977)

Madame Bovary, That's Me is a film about Anna, a stay-at-home mother trapped in the monotony of domestic routine. Inspired by Flaubert's classic novel, she becomes consumed with the idea of a passionate romance and begins spending her savings on clothes and makeup in pursuit of an idealized life. When she arranges a secret meeting with a potential lover, Anna discovers that real life cannot compete with her elaborate fantasies.
