Homecoming is a Filipino drama about Abigael Edades, a nurse returning to her provincial hometown after five years in Canada. The government celebrates her as a hero—one of hundreds of thousands of Filipinos working abroad—and her town welcomes her warmly. But her family is fractured: her parents are separated, her brother struggles with addiction, and her boyfriend quickly proposes. Her joy collapses when she's diagnosed with SARS and unknowingly infects her youngest brother. Quarantined in Manila, both become pariahs. Her townspeople and local government turn hostile. Her boyfriend abandons her. The celebrated hero becomes a social pariah. Within a month, Abigael's faith in the people around her and her own life unravels entirely, forcing her to confront isolation, betrayal, and the harsh gap between public adoration and private abandonment.
