THE ANIMALS(2016)

The Animals is a film about Kerstin, an actress caught between the demands of her coaches and colleagues as she prepares to play Irena in Cat People. Through rehearsals, theoretical discussions, and intensive coaching sessions—some productive, others less so—Kerstin navigates the pressures of embodying this complex female protagonist. The film explores how external expectations shape an artist's creative process, moving between moments of breakthrough and struggle as she works toward her performance.
