Cinta Suci Zahrana is an Indonesian film about a woman in her early thirties caught between family duty and personal ambition. Siti Zahrana's academic achievements have made her parents anxious about her unmarried status, and she has politely rejected numerous marriage proposals. When prestigious opportunities arise—a teaching position at Gadjah Mada University and a doctoral scholarship to China—Zahrana sacrifices both to honor her parents' wishes, choosing instead to teach locally in Semarang and remain at home.
