Deserted is a drama exploring faith, isolation, and desperation. Alice Barnett, a devout Christian woman in her later years, lives alone while her adult son manages his own family in a nearby town. Consumed by loneliness and sermons about the Rapture, Alice becomes obsessed with securing her place among the chosen when Christ returns. Convinced she's found a loophole in the Book of Revelation, she embarks on an increasingly frantic quest to guarantee her salvation. As her certainty wavers and her actions grow more extreme, the film examines what happens when religious conviction collides with human vulnerability and the fear of abandonment. Deserted is a character study that questions faith, purpose, and the lengths people will go to escape their earthly suffering.
