Bad Men of the Border is a 1950 Western that launched Kirby Grant's seven-film series for Universal Studios. Set on the Mexican border, the film follows Grant and Fuzzy Knight as undercover U.S. marshals hunting a counterfeiting gang. Their mission takes an unexpected turn when they meet Dolores Mendoza, a dancehall performer played by Armida, who reveals herself as a secret agent for the Mexican rurales. The two lawmen and the mysterious woman must navigate competing allegiances and danger as they close in on their quarry. Grant, a former Montana singer previously credited as Robert Stanton, brings charm to the lead role, while Knight provides comic relief as his sidekick. This was Universal's final push to compete with Republic Pictures' prolific B-Western output, combining action, intrigue, and romance in a taut frontier adventure.
