The Cave of the Silken Web II(1930)

The Cave of the Silken Web II is a fantasy film that weaves together ancient legend and modern consequence. After a thousand years, a Taoist master and his disciples—along with seven reformed spider spirits—return to human form and recount a cautionary tale. Fifteen centuries later, student Xiao Liu's bathroom mishap leads to his public humiliation and triggers a chain of revenge. When his sister Liu Cui seeks justice against the culprit Wenxia, her vendetta spirals into violence and betrayal. Wenxia's romantic entanglements pit rivals against each other, culminating in a deadly confrontation that leaves multiple dead and Liu Cui imprisoned for murder. The story's moral lesson proves so potent that even the demon Wukong appears, terrifying the creatures holding the Tang Monk captive and forcing his release.
