RSC Live: Coriolanus is a Royal Shakespeare Company production of Shakespeare's war play, set in the emergence of the Roman republic. Caius Martius Coriolanus is a fearless soldier thrust into politics, where his ambitious mother pushes him toward power he's reluctant to claim. Struggling between his warrior nature and the demands of leadership, Coriolanus must navigate a fractured city-state where wealth divides rich from poor. Director Angus Jackson brings visceral intensity to this exploration of loyalty, ambition, and identity, completing the RSC's cycle of Shakespeare's Roman plays. Sope Dirisu stars in the title role.
