Things Behind the Sun(2006)

Things Behind the Sun is a drama about estrangement and family secrets. When Itzhak's father falls into a coma, Itzhak breaks a ten-year silence to visit him in the hospital. There, the withdrawn man finds himself sidelined by his own family: his wife, a suppressed artist finally pursuing her dreams; his adult son, a self-styled philosopher still at home; and his estranged lesbian daughter. Unknown to Itzhak, his ten-year-old daughter Didush—nearly invisible within the family—has begun secretly visiting her grandfather and uncovering the hidden truths that fractured their household. As the old man lies dying, the family's buried past threatens to resurface, forcing each member to confront what silence has cost them.
