Sodomites(1998)

Sodomites is a 1998 short film created as part of a French public health campaign against AIDS. The film follows two characters, Phallus and Sodoma, who encounter each other in an empty nighttime setting. A king figure presents them with safer sex supplies—a condom and lubricant—while Amazon warriors in combat gear look on. Directed in association with the French Ministry for Health, the film uses mythological and fantastical imagery to deliver its message about sexual health and disease prevention. It remains a distinctive artifact of 1990s AIDS awareness efforts in European cinema.
