Pay Your Dues(1919)

Pay Your Dues is a comedy that follows a man caught in a case of mistaken identity. While blindfolded during a party game with friends, he's accidentally swept up by members of an eccentric fraternal order who believe he's one of their escaped initiates. What begins as a simple misunderstanding spirals into chaos as he's forced to navigate the bizarre rituals and demands of the organization. Unable to convince them of the truth, he must go along with their increasingly absurd requirements while trying to find a way out. The film plays on the clash between an ordinary person and the strange world of secret societies, delivering laughs through physical comedy and escalating confusion.
