Kiki and the MXfits(2018)

Kiki and the MXfits is a short film that follows Chiquilla and her crew of high school outsiders as they navigate queer identity and social rejection. When Kiki, a trans member of the squad, lands in detention for using the girls' bathroom, the incident becomes a flashpoint for the group's defiance. Director Natalia Leite captures the raw energy of teenage rebellion and solidarity, as these misfits push back against the systems that marginalize them. The film explores themes of identity, belonging, and collective resistance with urgency and heart, centering the voices and experiences of queer youth finding power in community.
