Sideline(2015)

Sideline is a coming-of-age drama about seven childhood friends who reunite to form a men's cheerleading team. When they're unexpectedly tasked with performing at a neighborhood festival, the group throws themselves into the challenge, hoping to lift the spirits of a withdrawn young girl named Hana and her isolated mother. Written and directed by Fukuyama Sakurako, the film stars the seven-member song and dance group Bullet Train in their feature debut. As these men take on an unconventional sport traditionally dominated by women, they discover what it means to support one another and make a real difference in their community.
