Deadly Swarm(2003)

Deadly Swarm is a creature-horror film about a scientist desperate to save his dying wife. Dr. Schroeder ventures into a Guatemalan jungle to capture killer wasps, believing their venom holds medicinal properties. With covert military support, he plans to smuggle the insects into the United States for research. When the transport truck crashes, thousands of wasps escape and descend on a nearby town, using human hosts as breeding grounds for their larvae. An entomologist and an investigative journalist race to contain the swarm before the infestation spirals beyond control. The film balances personal desperation against ecological horror, as the characters confront both the wasps' lethal biology and the consequences of their capture.
