Kafka's Supermarket is an experimental surrealist film that explores the alienation and dehumanization of modern capitalism. Set in a present-day dystopia, the narrative follows market researchers and psychoanalysts who observe their subjects' mental deterioration with cold indifference. The film renders consumer obsession in its most primal form, flooding the city with nihilistic fixations on death and sexuality. What emerges is a conceptually cannibalistic marketplace of flesh, where commercialism strips away humanity itself. The tone is bleak and unsettling, blending horror with science fiction to critique the dehumanizing forces of contemporary consumer culture. Kafka's Supermarket refuses conventional narrative, instead using surrealist imagery to expose how capitalist systems reduce people to commodities and subjects of manipulation.
