Heartbeat is a South Korean thriller about a mother's desperate gamble. When her daughter faces critical heart disease, Yeon-hee learns that a comatose woman in the hospital may be a donor match. She attempts to bribe the woman's gangster son, Whee-do, with a fortune to secure the transplant. But as dark secrets about Whee-do's mother emerge, Yeon-hee's situation spirals. Pushed to the edge, she forms an alliance with dangerous criminals to save her daughter's life. The film explores how far a parent will go when a child's survival hangs in the balance, blending moral ambiguity with mounting tension.
