The Legend of Jade Sword(2020)

The Legend of Jade Sword is a fantasy film set during China's mythical Xia dynasty. It adapts the popular web novel by I Eat Tomato, following Ji Yichuan as he uncovers a dangerous conspiracy threatening the world's balance. After his family's sacred duty to guard an ancient seal is compromised by descendants of a murdered god king, Ji Yichuan flees with his junior sister Wei Chixue to hidden fairyland ruins. There he encounters the spirit swordsman Lan Zhengdao, who bestows his lifetime of cultivation knowledge before revealing the truth behind the god king's descendants' quest for power. Ji Yichuan must now decide whether to pursue personal freedom or fight to restore peace across the realm. This adaptation brings fresh perspective to the beloved source material, blending martial arts action with mythological intrigue.
