Papier-mache is a Russian documentary that follows Ivan Lashin, a young man living with his mother in the countryside, as he navigates life after his debut film "Head. Two Ears" won critical acclaim at Kinotavr and the Russian Film Critics Guild. Director Vitaly Suslin reunites with Ivan years later to explore how success—or the lack thereof—has transformed him. The film examines whether Ivan has changed since his moment in the spotlight, what new dreams have taken shape, and the reality of life beyond the festival circuit.
