Arthur & George(2015)

Arthur & George is a historical drama set in 1906 that follows Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as he emerges from grief over his first wife's death to investigate a real miscarriage of justice. When his secretary brings him the case of George Edalji, a Parsee solicitor imprisoned for writing obscene letters and killing livestock in Great Wyrley, Staffordshire, Doyle takes on the challenge to clear his name. As the investigation deepens, Doyle begins to doubt George's innocence himself, forcing him to uncover the true culprit. The case becomes a turning point for Doyle, allowing him to move past his personal sorrow while simultaneously influencing major reforms to the English judicial system.
