Unhappy Birthday(2011)

Unhappy Birthday is a horror film set on the remote tidal island of Amen, where three city dwellers arrive for what should be a celebratory birthday gathering. When Sadie, Rick, and their friend Johnny visit the enigmatic local Corinne, they quickly discover the island operates by twisted rules governed by an insular, antiquated community. Trapped by the rising tide and cut off from escape, the trio becomes entangled in a mysterious family connection to Corinne that spirals into nightmare territory. Drawing inspiration from British cult classics like The Wicker Man and Hammer House of Horror, the film explores themes of isolation and the primal power of nature.
