To the Orcas with Love is a documentary that explores humanity's profound connection to orca whales through the eyes of British Columbia's most dedicated observers. Featuring stunning cinematography of the region's resident orca pods, the film weaves together voices of environmental pioneers including David Suzuki, whale researchers Alexandra Morton and Paul Spong, and lifelong Broughton Strait resident Billy Proctor. Their stories reveal how personal choices ripple through the natural world, grounded in the conviction that what we do to nature, we do to ourselves. A haunting original score by Jeff Rona and Ben MacDougall underscores both the beauty of these marine mammals and the urgent environmental challenges they face. Rather than despair, the film channels filmmaker Rob Stewart's call to action—an invitation to imagine and build the world we truly want to inhabit.
