Cinephilia(2021)

Cinephilia is a dark comedy that deconstructs cinema itself through nine interlocking stories. Roland rents a room and finds himself trapped in Kafkaesque situations when a stranger offers him money to film his suicide. As Roland and Isabel navigate overlapping worlds of reality and fantasy, they encounter a series of random acquaintances whose fates mysteriously intertwine. The film moves with gentle irony between dreamlike sequences and grounded drama, blurring the line between what's real and what's imagined. Two moons hang in the night sky, casting an otherworldly glow over this kaleidoscopic exploration of cinema's power to distort truth.
