Brotherhood of Death is a 1976 blaxploitation film following Black Vietnam War veterans who return to their small Southern hometown determined to challenge the white supremacist grip strangling their community. The Klan has long terrorized the Black majority, blocking voter registration and denying basic rights. The soldiers organize a grassroots campaign to register voters and reclaim political power. When hundreds respond to the call, the Klan escalates to brutal violence. Outnumbered but battle-hardened, the veterans fight back in an explosive confrontation that transforms their homecoming into armed resistance. The film captures a pivotal moment when combat experience becomes a tool for civil rights, as these men refuse to accept the racial oppression they'd fought overseas to defend against.
