Out of Frame is a documentary following Mathis Dumas, a French alpine athlete, mountain guide, and professional outdoor photographer navigating the demanding intersection of sport, craft, and adventure. Dumas represents a new generation of all-rounders who excel across skiing, climbing, and mountaineering while capturing the raw beauty of extreme environments. The film tracks his pursuit of an ambitious goal: photographing the first-ever exposed highline installation deep within the Mont Blanc massif. As Dumas prepares for this high-stakes attempt, the documentary shifts focus from his usual subjects to Dumas himself, revealing the athletic skill, creative vision, and personal courage required to merge technical photography with life-threatening mountain pursuits.
