Fever(2022)

Fever is a psychological thriller about Jay, a man escaping his racist family to start fresh with his Black boyfriend, Andre. When the couple stops to celebrate Andre's mother's 50th birthday, Jay's carefully constructed new life begins to fracture. As he confronts the complexities of their interracial relationship and grapples with his own complicity in systemic racism, his mental state deteriorates. The film explores the internal and external pressures that threaten to unravel Jay's attempt at redemption, examining how privilege and denial can poison even the most intimate bonds. Tense and unflinching, Fever asks difficult questions about belonging, accountability, and whether escape is ever truly possible.
