Courage(2011)

Courage is a Polish drama about two brothers whose lives splinter after a brutal moment on a train. When hooligans harass a young woman, Jerzy intervenes to protect her—but Alfred freezes. His hesitation costs everything: Jerzy is thrown from the moving train. What follows is a reckoning with guilt, shame, and the gap between who we think we are and who we become under pressure. The film examines how a single act of violence ripples through the lives of ordinary people, forcing each to confront their own capacity for courage or cowardice. Alfred must live with the consequences of his inaction while Jerzy struggles to survive the aftermath of his bravery.
