Among Copenhagen Apaches(1911)

Among Copenhagen Apaches is a silent film that follows Fanny, a poor cigar worker whose affair with a manufacturer's son costs her everything—her job and her home. Desperate and alone, she accepts work at what appears to be a legitimate cigar shop. The position proves to be a front for criminal enterprise. Fanny soon finds herself drawn into the underworld alongside "Piphans" and a gang of bandits, forced to abandon her honest trade for illicit dealings. The film captures the gritty underbelly of early twentieth-century Copenhagen, where poverty and desperation drive ordinary people toward dangerous choices.
