A Present Light(2021)

A Present Light is a Portuguese drama about a man navigating heartbreak on a rainy night. Gonçalo leaves home determined to deliver a letter to someone who's abandoned him, but his journey takes an unexpected turn when he meets Diana at a street corner. She warns him of the slippery road ahead, but Gonçalo's emotional turmoil proves more dangerous than the weather. When he loses control of his motorbike and crashes, their chance encounter becomes something deeper. The film explores how grief and loneliness can cloud judgment, and how a stranger's kindness might offer unexpected solace in our darkest moments.
