Aishiteyo(2005)

Aishiteyo is a Japanese drama about Miyuki, a single mother determined to launch her ten-year-old son Keiji into child modeling. Though Keiji lands steady work, he performs only to satisfy his mother's ambition—she obsessively fills his schedule, leaving no blank pages. At a major audition, Keiji advances through early rounds, but the pressure deepens a growing rift between them. When Miyuki takes a new boyfriend, Keiji's internal conflict intensifies. The film explores the collision between parental dreams and a child's quiet resistance, examining how love can become burden when shaped by adult expectations rather than a child's own desires.
