Artifice(2016)

Artifice follows a determined actor as he immerses himself in preparation for a deeply unsettling role. As he delves deeper into the character's psychology, the boundaries between performance and reality begin to fracture. He becomes increasingly lost between the fictional world he's constructing and his own identity, unable to distinguish where the character ends and he begins. The film explores the psychological toll of method acting and the dangers of losing oneself in a role. What starts as professional dedication spirals into something far more disturbing, blurring the line between artistic commitment and mental unraveling. Artifice examines how far an actor will go in pursuit of authenticity, and what happens when the mask becomes impossible to remove.
