Astres(2019)

Astres is a contemplative drama about grief and denial. Hyo-Jin returns to South Korea for her younger sister's funeral, but unable to face the loss, she cuts her visit short and flees back to Montreal. Once home, her sister's death begins to unravel her carefully constructed life. Despite her scientific mind and pragmatic nature, irrational thoughts creep in, disrupting her routines and forcing her to confront the emotional toll she's been avoiding. The film explores how trauma surfaces in unexpected ways, even for those who believe they can think their way through pain.
