Dented

Battered is a coming-of-age film that follows thirteen-year-old Jacotte as she plans a birthday celebration for her brother Bastien in their familiar forest hideaway, joined by their tight-knit group of childhood friends: Mathieu, Alex, and young Chacha. What begins as a routine gathering takes a dark turn when the group stumbles upon an abandoned, wrecked car deep in the woods. The discovery upends their innocent day and sets off a chain of events that tests their friendship and forces them to confront something far more sinister than they bargained for. The film captures the fragile boundary between childhood wonder and the harsh realities that can shatter it in an instant.
