Fly(2009)

Fly is a drama following Dima, a petty criminal living under the constant threat of deportation from Germany. Reckless and defiant, he masks his anxiety through careless behavior until he meets Sarah, a documentary filmmaker researching young foreigners. When Sarah offers him shelter in her loft and makes him the subject of her film, an unexpected emotional connection develops between them. As their relationship deepens, Dima must confront the precarious reality of his situation and the consequences of his choices. The film explores themes of displacement, vulnerability, and human connection against the backdrop of immigration and survival in modern Germany.
