Kuluçka(2017)

Kuluçka is a Turkish fantasy film following Rüya, a young woman grieving her family's loss and living with her grandmother. When Rüya discovers a hidden passage in her home, she enters a dreamlike forest that offers escape from her difficult reality. Desperate to save money for a trip to Italy, Rüya becomes entangled in the forest's mysteries, tasked with completing strange assignments by its inhabitants while navigating her grandmother's deliberate obstacles. As she struggles to distinguish between the dangerous world she's trying to flee and the equally perilous enchanted realm pulling her deeper in, Rüya must decide what she's truly willing to sacrifice for her dreams. The film blends magical realism with coming-of-age themes, exploring how grief and longing can blur the line between escape and entrapment.
