Lines is a short film about a woman's routine visit to a dermatologist that becomes an unsettling encounter with beauty standards. Forty-year-old Amelia Jamison arrives confident and content, seeking only a minor mole removal. Instead, her doctor aggressively pushes Botulinum Toxin injections and lip fillers, leaving her questioning her own appearance and worth. The film explores how ageism and societal pressure can undermine self-acceptance in moments of vulnerability. A chance meeting on the boardwalk with a naturally beautiful woman offers Amelia a chance to recalibrate her perspective. Lines examines the gap between inner confidence and external judgment, questioning whether we should surrender to the demands of a youth-obsessed culture or embrace our authentic selves.
